Send HR + Payroll notifications on WhatsApp — where employees actually read them

Email open rates hover around 20%. WhatsApp open rates clear 95% within an hour. Your payroll team already knows this — they resort to sending payslips to a 240-person WhatsApp group every month because nobody opens the emails. AttendUX plugs into the WhatsApp Business API (official, verified sender) and delivers every HR event — payslip, leave decision, shift reminder, attendance alert — to each employee's personal WhatsApp automatically. No more groups, no more "did you send mine?".

Why integrate WhatsApp Business with AttendUX

Monthly payslip delivery

Every employee gets their payslip as an encrypted PDF on WhatsApp, 1 second after you click "Run Payroll". Downloadable from the chat, archived in-app. No shared group, no "I didn't get mine".

Leave request + approval

Employee messages "leave 24 Dec to 27 Dec" to the HR WhatsApp bot. AttendUX parses, checks balance, routes to their manager for 1-tap approve/reject, notifies employee of the decision — all in WhatsApp.

Shift + attendance reminders

15 min before shift start: reminder. 30 min after shift start without check-in: auto-nudge. End of day missing check-out: prompt. Supervisor also pinged on habitual no-shows.

Real-time attendance alerts

HR gets WhatsApp alerts for check-ins outside geofence, late arrivals above threshold, overtime caps approaching, and expiring licenses/iqama — before the issue becomes a payroll or compliance problem.

Verified Business API

All messages sent from AttendUX's verified green-check Business number via the official Meta WhatsApp Business API — not a personal WhatsApp Web session that can be banned. Full compliance with WhatsApp Business policy.

5 languages auto-matched

Each employee gets messages in their saved language (Arabic / English / German / Spanish / French). Egyptian-Arabic colloquial for Egyptian employees, MSA for Gulf, formal French for Morocco — automatically.

How it works

Typical setup takes under 10 minutes.

1

Enable WhatsApp module

In AttendUX admin → Integrations → WhatsApp → turn on. AttendUX provisions a verified green-check Business number for your tenant (included in subscription).

2

Collect employee numbers

Each employee record has a phone field. Import via CSV, or workers add theirs during self-service onboarding. AttendUX validates the number format per country.

3

Pick which events to send

Toggle individually: payslip, leave decision, shift reminder, attendance alert, license expiry, holiday schedule. Different workforce groups can have different notification profiles.

4

Pick each employee's language

Employee language saved per record. Messages auto-rendered in Arabic / English / German / Spanish / French. Templates pre-written + approved by Meta.

5

Run payroll + watch deliveries

After payroll runs, 100% of payslips deliver via WhatsApp within 60 seconds. Dashboard shows delivery status per employee — green (delivered), yellow (pending), red (number invalid). Retry failed deliveries with one click.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business API account?

No. AttendUX provides a verified green-check Business sender as part of your subscription. All outbound messages come from "AttendUX HR" so employees recognise them instantly. No separate Meta registration, no monthly API fees from Meta — bundled.

Can employees reply back or is it one-way?

Two-way. Employees can reply to request leave, confirm shifts, ask about payslip details. The leave-request bot parses natural language ("off next Thursday") and routes to their manager. Payslip queries open a human-handoff ticket in your HR dashboard.

What if an employee does not have WhatsApp?

Set an email or SMS fallback per employee. The notification engine tries WhatsApp first; if the number is invalid or opted out, it falls back automatically. All delivery attempts logged for audit.

Is this compliant with Meta's WhatsApp Business policy?

Yes. All templates are pre-approved by Meta under the authentication + utility categories (not marketing). Employees receive a one-time opt-in consent at onboarding. Opt-out is single-tap. Full GDPR + PDPL compliance; message logs retained per your policy.
