Biometric attendance is the Egyptian + Gulf default — but most devices in use (ZKTeco, Hikvision, Suprema, Anviz, Dahua) were designed for local SQL databases, not cloud HR systems. Ancient Windows PCs sitting in server rooms, running BioAccess or ZKBio Time, exporting to Excel monthly. That chain breaks every time the PC reboots. AttendUX replaces the PC with cloud-native sync — any brand, any modality (fingerprint, face, iris, palm vein), real-time attendance to your HR dashboard + mobile app + payroll engine.
AttendUX speaks ADMS Push (ZKTeco standard supported by Hikvision, Suprema, Dahua too) + REST API for Anviz + Virdi. One cloud endpoint, every major brand compatible out of the box. Mix brands across branches? Fine.
Fingerprint (optical + capacitive), face recognition, iris, palm vein. Each modality has strengths — fingerprint for low-cost/high-volume, face for hands-free + COVID-era, iris for highest-security vaults. AttendUX routes the data the same way regardless.
Device offline or employee working remote? Same AttendUX account, mobile app opens, face-recognition check-in from the phone. Server-side InsightFace models + anti-spoof. One source of truth across devices + mobile.
Classic BioAccess / ZKBio Time / Hikvision iVMS setups need an always-on Windows PC. Our customers typically shut these down 2 weeks after switching. One less server, one less license, one less IT babysit task.
Device-only ML can be fooled by printed photos or masks. AttendUX re-scores every face check-in server-side with InsightFace + liveness detection (eye blink, head motion, 3D depth) — adds a security layer the device alone cannot provide.
Entry-only + exit-only device pairing. Attendance door device + lab-area door device. Shift-change device. AttendUX pairs the punches into clean check-in / check-out records automatically — no manual reconciliation.
Typical setup takes under 10 minutes.
Check the device menu for "Cloud Server", "ADMS", or "Push Server" option. 95%+ of devices shipped after 2018 have it. If not, a free firmware update from the vendor enables it. Older pre-2016 devices may need replacement.
Sign up → Settings → Device Sync → generate your company token. This token authenticates every device in your account. Unique per company, never shared across tenants.
On each device: Menu → COMM → Cloud Server. Enter server URL: iclock.attendux.com, port 80, enter your company token when prompted. Save + restart the device.
Fingerprints / faces / iris enrolled on the device as usual. AttendUX reads the user ID from the device + matches to the employee record in HR. No separate enrollment in AttendUX.
Each check-in appears in the AttendUX dashboard within 2-5 seconds. Mobile face fallback available when devices are offline. Payroll runs on the aggregated data at period end.
Depends on your workforce. Fingerprint is cheapest + works in bright sunlight — best for construction, warehouses, outdoor sites. Face is hands-free + fast + covid-safe — best for offices, clinics, retail. Iris is the most accurate but device cost is 3-5× higher — reserved for high-security vaults, labs, data centers. Palm vein is similar to iris in accuracy + cost. Most MENA offices run fingerprint for cost, upgrade to face in post-COVID remodels. AttendUX supports all four the same way.
99% of devices sold after 2018 (any major brand) work as-is. If your device menu has "Cloud Server" or "ADMS" option, it is compatible. Pre-2016 devices may need firmware update (free from vendor) or in rare cases replacement. Send us the model + year during trial and we will confirm compatibility before you commit.
Fingerprint-only devices are great in controlled environments (office door, warehouse entry). The AttendUX mobile app with face recognition covers remote staff, delivery drivers, field sales, offline sites. Both routes feed the same cloud attendance — fingerprint for the office, mobile face for the road. One payroll, one source of truth.
Device-side: modern fingerprint sensors (capacitive, ultrasonic) detect live tissue + reject silicone copies. Face devices with 3D depth sensors (not flat cameras) reject printed photos. Server-side: AttendUX re-scores every face check-in via InsightFace with liveness detection (eye blink, head motion, blood-flow analysis). The result is stronger than device-alone ML — you get both layers.
