Via /settings/attendance, choose strict (block spoofed attempts), loose (allow but flag), or off. Server-side detection means can't be bypassed by uninstalling an app.

Employee attempts mobile check-in

Employee opens AttendUX app, taps Check In. App captures live GPS + Wi-Fi scan + face photo. Pre-flight: app itself detects mock location before sending (saves server work).

Server verifies in multiple layers

GPS accuracy depends on the device — typically 5-20 meters outdoors on modern phones. AttendUX adds Wi-Fi SSID+BSSID fingerprint verification for floor-accuracy in multi-level offices (GPS alone can't distinguish floors in a tower). Both layers combined give room-level accuracy for office workers + site-level accuracy for field workers.

Can employees fake their GPS location?

AttendUX actively detects GPS spoofing apps (Fake GPS Location, etc.) both in the mobile app (pre-flight check) and on the server (can't be bypassed by uninstalling the detector).
