Frequently Asked Questions — Oman

Is AttendUX compliant with Oman Labor Law?

Yes. Royal Decree 35/2003 (as amended by Royal Decree 53/2023) is preconfigured: 30 days annual leave, end-of-service gratuity (15 days/year first 3 years, 30 days/year thereafter), probation up to 3 months, overtime (125% weekday, 150% weekend/public holiday), maternity leave, sick leave brackets. Friday-Saturday weekend is the default.

Does AttendUX handle Social Protection Fund (SPF) contributions?

Yes. SPF employer and employee contribution rates are configurable per employee (the system handles the generic percentage-of-gross deduction logic). You enter your specific SPF bracket rates in the admin panel and AttendUX applies them to every payslip. SPF replaced PASI as Oman's unified social-security scheme in 2023.

Can we pay in Omani Rial (OMR)?

Yes. Pricing is shown in OMR equivalent for Omani customers, with billing via international card or bank transfer. Payment via local Omani bank transfer is supported through our Gulf bank partners.

Does AttendUX submit WPS for Oman?

AttendUX generates payroll register exports in a format you can upload to your CBO-member bank portal (Bank Muscat, National Bank of Oman, HSBC Oman, etc.) for Oman WPS submission. Native WPS SIF format generation specifically formatted for Oman is on our 2026 roadmap. Current customers submit via their bank portal with CSV.

Does it support multiple locations across Oman?

Yes — Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa, Sur, Ibri, Barka, and interior Dhofar sites. Each location has its own geofence, shifts, attendance device and reporting. Great for organizations with Muscat HQ + Sohar industrial + Salalah southern operations.

Will it work with our existing ZKTeco fingerprint devices?

Yes. AttendUX integrates with K40, MB360, F22, iClock 880 and most ZKTeco models commonly deployed in Omani offices via our ADMS Push cloud sync — no need to replace hardware and no on-premise sync agent required.

Does the mobile app work on Omantel and Ooredoo Oman?

Yes. The iOS and Android app is tested on both Omani carriers and uses minimal data (under 5 MB/month for typical use). Works in Dhofar interior and Musandam low-signal zones with offline queue + sync when connection returns.

Is there Arabic support?

Yes — full Arabic UI, payslips, SMS notifications and support team. English is also available per user preference for mixed Omani/expat teams (Oman's workforce is ~45% expat).
